Getting Started

Founder Henry Ford built his first automobile all the way back in 1896, just as the automobile was starting to break ground. His first creation was called the quadricycle, and was a far cry from the cars you see today. In 1903, he founded the Ford Motor Company and began manufacturing his first vehicles, sold mostly to wealthier customers.

1908 saw the introduction of the Model T, arguably one of the most famous and important vehicles in the early years of the automotive industry. The demand for these vehicles grew exponentially, and Ford needed a way to keep up. Thus, the assembly line was formed, forever changing not only the automotive industry, but many factory setups.

Over 100 Years of Innovation
